Hurricane Irene...

Hurricane Irene is making it's way towards us now... And there have been tornados spotted throughout southern Wilmington. Different weather reports are saying different things about the hurricane... We've heard varying things from the hurricane hitting us at a category 3, a category 2, and a category 1.  The latest is that it's going to hit us at a category 2 Saturday evening.  Because of this we had to cancel our engagement pictures... :(  We have rescheduled them for September 1st.  If the hurricane keeps building strength to a category 4, we are going up north to stay with my daddy for the weekend.  Hopefully it doesn't come to that... 

Friends weekend!!

This weekend was a great weekend.  We had our friend Jonathan in town.  We have been watching his black lab Cooper all week.  Jonathan spent the weekend with us.  We went out to dinner with Jonathan and my friend Stephanie Friday night.  And Saturday evening we met up with a my friend (and old co-worker) downtown for a couple of drinks. 


The other day me and Evan went to the mall to look at rings... And we ordered our wedding bands!! :)  We are super excited!! They will take several weeks to come in since mine has to be re-sized and Evan's has to be special ordered.  We are also getting our engagement pictures taken on Saturday the 27th at Kure Beach!! <3  

Once we get the pictures back, we will definitely post some of them!

Such a great week...

This week Evan had Seps and Taps... He was driving back and forth up and base Monday through Thursday, so he decided to take the Honda to save on gas.  Which meant that I had to drive the truck back and forth to work.  Which is kind of interesting considering that I'm 5'2"... And that truck is HUGE.  While driving his truck I looked up and saw this picture... 

He is such a sweetheart!! <3 He melts my heart!! 


Oh!!  And me and Evan are going to have a new nephew or niece!!  My sister is pregnant again!!  Mikayla just turned 2 on July 22nd (at 8:22pm!) and my sister went for her first ultra sound appointment on August 16th (2 years and 1 month after her due date with Mikayla).  She is due March 30th.  We are definitely excited to have a nephew or another niece!  2012 will be a great year!! 

FX2 bed cover

Evan got his new truck bed cover in on Friday and had me help him install it today.  It was definitely a pain.  But it looks great! :)  We had to hurry up too!  It was getting ready to storm pretty bad... We got it on just in time though! Here is the picture!  

We found our florist!!

We found our florist today!!  We have met and received quotes from three different florist.  Today we met with Beautiful Flowers by June.  We met with her for about an hour and a half.  She took the time to go through every little detail on all the different flower arrangements with us! :)  She even ordered in calla lilies for me so I can see how it would feel to hold a certain amount in my bouquet.  She is just amazing to work with!  She even gave me some of the calla lilies to take home! :)  I love her!  She's great!!  Below is a picture of the flowers she gave me... 

Wedding Updates!

It's Friday... :)  Me and Evan have a meeting with our photographer tomorrow... We are setting our photo session for engagement pictures.  Our photographer's website is http://www.billbarron.com/.  We got our NYC proposal pictures developed and we are picking them up Saturday evening.  We can't wait to get them back!!  


Tuesday we have a meeting with another florist. We have already met with one and I have traded emails with another one.  Beautiful Flowers by June is the one we are meeting with Tuesday.  Her website is http://www.beautifulflowersbyjune.com/.  Everything seems to be coming together quite nicely!  We are both super excited!!  We have gotten so much done in just two weeks! :) 

Mikayla's Bike!

So in all of the craziness of New York City and our engagement... I forgot to post pictures of Mikayla getting her bike!!  She absolutely loved it!!  She jumped right on it.  After a couple of days, she was getting better with the pedals.  I have pictures below... The first picture is the of her at her birthday party- she jumped right on it!!  And the second one is me helping her learn to pedal her bike.  She was so cute!  I love this little girl!!
