Kailynne and Kosar

Kosar is cuddling with his little sister!!

28 Weeks!!

Happy Easter!!
Romans 6:8-11. Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God. In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

Happy 28 Weeks to our growing princess!!

Your baby's the size of an eggplant!
Putting on layers of fat, your baby now weighs in around 1.5 to 2.5 pounds and measures about 13.6 to 14.8 inches.

your baby at 28 weeks
  • She's starting to develop more fat, so her wrinkly skin will start to get smoother.
  • Her lungs are mature enough that she'd probably survive if she was born now. Wow!

Kailynne 3D/4D

Amazing day!!  We got to see our little princess today!  She is absolutely adorable.  My mom came down to see her at her 3D/4D ultrasound.  We went to the battleship and had Easter dinner.  It was definitely a great Saturday!  The highlight of course being baby Kailynne's 3D/4D.  She weighs 2.6 pounds right now.  Pictures below!

Her little profile!  Someone looks like Momma! :)

Her foot and her face (face in upper right corner)

Little foot (left hand side)

Her little hand.  All 5 fingers! :)

She was making a fist.

Weekend in MD/ 27 weeks!

We had a great weekend up in Maryland.  Our youngest niece turned 1!  We were super excited to be able to spend the weekend with the girls.  My mom's friend also gave us two boxes of baby clothes spanning from newborn to 18 months.

Happy Birthday Makynna Catherine!

Her cake and her smash cake!

Digging in!

Crawling around...

Mikayla laying with Uncle Evan, she was tired after helping us get ready for Makynna's birthday party.

Lovins!

She got her second wind back!

I read this when I was on my birth club today.  It really got to me.  We will definitely be praying for this family!!  Just another reason that we stay up to date on our information and research on things for Kailynne.  No blankets in Kailynne's crib until she is at least 12 months.  Evan researched this, that is when it is medically approved.  Such a sad story.

On a happier note, we have reached week 27!!  This picture was taken today at 27 weeks 3 days!

Your baby's the size of a rutabaga!
At 13.6 to 14.8 inches and 1.5 to 2.5 pounds, she's not just getting bigger, she's getting smarter.

your baby at 27 weeks
  • She's practicing inhaling and exhaling with her rapidly developing lungs.
  • It's official: Baby's showing brain activity! And her brain will keep on getting more complex.

26 Weeks!!

Relaxing weekend!!  Finally! :)  We got to sleep in and get a lot of homework done.  It was nice to relax for a weekend.  We will be extremely busy over the next several weeks, so this was a much needed relaxing weekend.

Happy 26 weeks to baby Kailynne!!

Your baby's the size of a head of lettuce!
She's still growing in the 13.6- to 14.8-inch and 1.5- to 2.5-pound range, and developing her senses, features and talents!

your baby at 26 weeks
  • Her eyes are forming, and his eyes will soon start to open.
  • And her eyelashes are now grown, too.
  • She's getting her immune system ready for life on the outside by soaking up your antibodies.
  • She's taking breaths, too. They're of amniotic fluid, not air, but it's still good practice.

Ohio Baby Shower

Attached are some pictures of our Ohio baby shower.  It was a lot of fun!  And it was a beautiful shower.  Evan's momma threw the shower for us.  We received a lot of nice gifts and had a lot of laughs!

Thanks to everyone that came and shared this special time with us!  We will be sending out thank you cards as we write them this weekend! :)

Nursery Pictures! :)

Evan took a bunch of nursery pictures.  Kailynne's room is really starting to look good!  We have a couple more things we need to get, but it's finished for the most part. :)

Kailynne's dirty laundry basket

Kailynne's changing table.  We will be getting some totes to put her things in.  Her stool and rocking chair.

Kailynne's stroller and car seat

Kailynne's pack-n-play.  Her daddy worked hard putting this together! :)

Her clothes in her dresser

Kailynne's bedding and mobile.  With her baby blanket!  We still have to get her bumpers yet.

Kailynne's rocking chair!  We still have to get her padding for it. But we love it!

25 Weeks!! And Ohio weekend!

We had a great weekend.  We went up to Ohio for Evan's birthday and a baby shower for Kailynne!  We had a great time.  It was a beautiful shower.  We got a lot of really nice things for Kailynne.  We went to the Ohio State game on Sunday.  I got Evan tickets for his birthday.  We had to drive back Sunday night.  It was a longgg drive.  Thankfully I took off work today to get some homework done.  It was a great and exhausting weekend!

Sunday was 25 weeks for baby Kailynne! :)

24 Weeks!!

We've had a great weekend so far.  I'm on spring break for a week.  I had finals last week.  And I will be starting my new classes after spring break.  Evan has midterms this week.  So yesterday I helped Evan with some homework.

This is the first thing we ever bought Kailynne.  As soon as we found out we were having a girl, we ordered her this stool.  The letters are puzzle pieces.  We just received it this week.

Happy 24 weeks to our growing daughter!!

your baby's the size of a cantaloupe!
Your 10.5-to-11.8-inch fetus weighs about 12.7 to 20.8 ounces and every week she gets closer and closer to being ready to survive (and thrive!) in the outside world.
your baby at 24 weeks
  • Her see-through skin is gradually becoming more opaque.
  • And it's got a new pink glow, thanks to the small capillaries that have recently formed.
