Beautiful Kailynne!

We are 19 weeks, 2 days.  We had our ultrasound appointment today.  Our beautiful Kailynne is doing great!!  She was moving around a lot and she had a strong heartbeat of 144.  The measured every part of her body to make sure that everything was forming properly.  She is doing great!!  We even got to see blood flow in and out of her heart.  The measured her arms, legs, head, heart, spine, fingers, toes, etc.  She is currently measuring at 10 inches and weighs 10 ounces.  We were able to feel her kick last night.  Her feet are on my right side and her head is on my left. We feel extremely blessed to have a healthy growing daughter!

19 Weeks!

We had a great, but busy weekend.  I had to work late on Friday for inventory. And then I had a group meeting on Saturday, we did homework after that.  And a lot of homework today.  We still need to take our 19 week picture, we will do that tomorrow morning.  Happy 19 weeks to our precious baby Kailynne!!  We tentatively set Kailynne's baptism for September 1st.  Heather and Michael agreed to be the God parents for our special little one!  We are definitely blessed!

At about 6.0 inches long and weighing in at about 8.5 ounces, she's getting there!

• Developing a protective coating over her skin, called vernix caseosa. It's greasy and white and you may see some of it at her birth.
• Working on her five senses. Nerve cells for her sense of taste, hearing, sight and smell are developing in her brain.

Dresser!! :)

Evan's parents sent us the dresser for Kailynne's room.  Evan put it together while I was at work. It looks adorable in her bedroom.  

More Progress!!

Evan finished painting Kailynne's room! :)  We still have to get her tree that we are putting on the wall, put her letters up, and of course get her bedding. lamp, and wall decor.  So we her room is still a work in progress.  But this is what we have so far. :)  Evan's grandparents got us the mattress.  :)

18 Weeks (A day late)

This weekend was a busy weekend.  We had friends down, had to get homework done, Evan went shooting, and Evan painted Kailynne's room! :)

She's about 5.6 inches long and about 6.7 ounces now and she keeps on growing rapidly. (That's why you're probably feeling so hungry.)

• And she's twisting, rolling, punching and kicking, too -- and she's big enough that you might be able to feel her doing it!

When we went to get Kailynne's ultrasound done, we got a stuffed lamb with her heartbeat inside.  When we squeeze the lamb, we hear Kailynne's heartbeat. :) 

Yesterday we got a surprise from my friend Charity!!  She got Kailynne a sweet picture frame to put in her room.

17 Weeks!

It was a great extended weekend.  My mom came down this weekend to spend it with us, so I took off work on Friday. I had a doctor's appointment on Friday to hear the heartbeat.  My mom put my sister on the phone so she could hear our little one's heartbeat as well.  The baby was moving around a lot.  The heart rate was between 147-150.  We then checked out another daycare on Friday.  Went to the battle ship on Saturday, viewed the campus, and took a walk by the water.  It was a gorgeous weekend.  In the mid-high 70's all weekend. 

Evan also received a new dust cover for his gun.  He was super excited and put it in right away.

Happy 17 Weeks Baby H!!  We found out tomorrow if you are a boy or a girl!  We are super excited to be able to start calling you by your name! The doctor does the anatomy scan on January 29th.  But we got a discount through a speciality place that does 3D/4D ultrasounds and we will be getting the gender ultrasound through them tomorrow.  We have our 3D/4D ultrasound with them on March 30th.

Baby continues to beef up. Now she's about 5.1 inches long and weighs about 5.9 ounces.

Her rubbery cartilage is now turning to bone.

• And she's growing some meat on those bones -- putting on some fat.
• She's growing a stronger, thicker umbilical cord, too.

The Life...

I got up Friday morning to get ready for work... And I'm guessing that someone else likes my pregnancy pillow just as much as I do...



Happy 16 Weeks!

It's been an eventful weekend.  This is our last weekend before school starts.  On Saturday we ran some errands and got some of our books for school.  We also went to look at some SUVs to trade in the Accord for.  We found a Honda CRV that we really liked.  The safety features are amazing.  So now I have room to put our little one in the vehicle.  

Today is Baby H's 16 weeks!  Happy 16 weeks to our little panda!

Now, she's about 4.6 inches long and weighs about 3.5 ounces, and she's big enough that your doctor may be able to hear her heartbeat.

• She's listening to your voice, thanks to tiny bones forming in her ears.
• She's growing hair, lashes and eyebrows.
• And she's forming taste buds.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year from our family to yours!  We spent our New Years Eve drinking sparkling apple cider and playing board games.  :)  We ordered take out from Olive Garden.  Which was a nice dinner and a nice lunch for the next day. 

We are very blessed and excited for 2013.  On the 29th of January we find out if our little panda is a boy or a girl.  We have our baby shower on April 13th.  Our youngest niece will be baptized in April as well.  (And we are the God parents!).  And of course, our little one arrives in June.
